INGREDIENTS: 100% Portunus pelagicus Crab Meat, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate (to retain color). May contain shell.
METHOD: Wild caught on small boats in the tropical waters of the Indonesian Spice Islands. Live crabs are steamed immediately, then their meat is hand-picked (enhancing product quality & consistency of grading) and chilled. Pasteurized under the strictest quality control standards.

Our crab meat has a refrigerated shelf life of 12 months. Each can also has a Sell By date on the bottom of it, which can also be used as a "Use By/Eat By" date.
We do not recommend freezing the cans of crab meat, if you can avoid it. Once frozen and then thawed, the crab meat will taste a bit different than ideal (slightly inferior flavor and texture). However, if you NEED to freeze the crab meat, you certainly can, as long as you are aware of the impact on quality.
