Over Three Generations of Service

North Coast Seafoods began as a company focused on shellfish distribution, which brought predictability and dependability to what had been a very unpredictable, undependable industry.

The business thrived, seafood was delivered on time, and the company grew. But there was always the desire to do more—to be a company responsible for bringing people the freshest seafood imaginable—and there was only one way to do it: Control every part of the process, from the fishing boats to the processing facility to the shipping.

So that’s what we did.

solid trust, absolute dependability and unwavering integrity.


We have built a chain of custody that guarantees freshness.

From the time on water, to how it was caught, to who caught it, to how they took care of it, to the way it was processed, to how it was packaged and transported—we control it all. We made our process trackable and verifiable every moment the seafood is in our possession. When there were federal standards, we bested them. When there were no standards, we made our own.

At North Coast Seafood, we believe we have a responsibility to make the world a better place, to leave it better than we found it. Beyond our deep commitment to sustainability programs around the world, we focus on bringing fresh fish to the next generation.

We are proud to provide kids K-12 all across New England with delicious, nutritional seafood as part of their weekly school lunches. We also equip school educators with the information to understand how our seafood is sourced, and why responsibly harvested fish is the most environmentally sustainable choice for our oceans. Educating students on the history, traditions and methods of harvesting the bounty of our sea will help keep local culture and economies alive for generations to come.
