About our frozen squid

Known as the “Cadillac of Squid,” Northeast Longfin Squid is regarded as one of the finest eating squid in the world. Wild caught seasonally by net from Long Island through the waters off Nantucket, it is landed primarily in Point Judith, Rhode Island, and along the Massachusetts coast by trusted local New England fishermen.

Its naturally thin walls create an exceptionally tender bite with a clean, sweet flavor and superior mouthfeel, never rubbery or overly chewy. Caught, landed, and processed in the USA, our squid is prepared in Boston, Massachusetts, and available year round for consistently premium calamari.

sQUID TUBES

Cleaned and ready to prepare, our squid tubes offer a mild, sweet flavor and a tender, delicate bite. Their consistent shape makes them ideal for slicing into calamari rings, stuffing, grilling, sautéing, or incorporating into a wide variety of seafood dishes.

squid TENTACLES

Squid tentacles bring bold visual appeal and a slightly firmer, more satisfying texture to the plate. Their curled shape crisps beautifully when fried and holds up well to grilling, charring, or tossing into pasta, rice dishes, and seafood sautés.

Why the Shipping Charge?
  • Our shipping charge is calculated to cover the cost of express next-day delivery on a nationwide scale. The reason shipping varies based on order weight is because the lower the weight of the delivery, the higher the cost of express shipping.
  • Express shipping ensures that our customers' seafood is precisely temperature controlled in transit to maintain maximum freshness upon arrival.
  • We are proud to offer next-day delivery with no order minimum, and do everything we can to keep our shipping fees as fair and reasonable as possible for our valued customers. But ultimately, it is those shipping costs that make our delivery program possible.

Thawing Instructions

Keep frozen until ready to use. Remove the product from its packaging and thaw under refrigeration for 8 to 10 hours, or overnight. Do not thaw at room temperature.

Handling Instructions

Once thawed, keep refrigerated and use within 3 days. Do not refreeze. Handle with clean hands and utensils, and keep the product properly chilled until preparation.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
Rinse lightly under cold water and pat dry before cooking. Squid cooks best either quickly over high heat or slowly at a gentle simmer.

For tender results, fry, grill, sauté, or sear for 2 to 3 minutes, just until opaque. Avoid overcooking, as the squid may become tough. Squid tubes may be sliced into rings or stuffed, while tentacles can be cooked whole or cut into smaller portions.
